Condobolin PAH & I Association (better known as Condobolin Show Society) was founded in 1885 for the promotion and advancement of the pastoral, agricultural, horticultural and industrial resources of Condobolin and district (hence “PAH&I”).
To this end, the Show Society conducts the annual Condobolin Show in late August, hosting competitive classes for horses, Merino sheep and fleeces, cattle, poultry, home brew, agricultural produce, fruit and vegetables, cooking, preserves, flowers, handicrafts, fine arts, photography and scrapbooking.
Popular features include the Pet Parade and Farmyard Nursery, Junior Showgirl and Miss and Master Tiny Tot, Down the Lachlan Shearing Championship and Championship Dog Show.
Condobolin is represented each year by the Condobolin Showgirl who is announced at the annual Show Ball held two to three weeks prior to each Show. Young people can also participate in the Young Achievers Award program.
The show is organised by volunteers and supported by local businesses, organisations, service clubs, individuals and Lachlan Shire Council.
