Widening the Circle in partnership with Centacare is pleased to be holding a ‘Triple P - Positive Parenting Program,’ in Lake Cargelligo. The workshops will be held on Thursday 9, 16, 23, 30 April and Thursday 28 May 2009 at the Lake Cargelligo Family Centre from 2pm to 4pm.
The Triple P Parenting Program will cover the following aspects of parenting:
- Discussing discipline issues with children;
- Children’s behaviour and capability by age, managing difficult behaviour; and
- Structured play, how children benefit from social interaction; planned constructive play and routine; children with parents for constructive play opportunities and, developing children’s willingness to attend preschool or school.
The workshops will be delivered by Bonnie Johnson who is specifically trained in delivering the Triple P Positive Parenting Program. Deanna Stenhouse and Amy Johnson will facilitate the workshop.
These workshops will be informal and friendly and you will have the opportunity to share your own stories while listening and learning from other people’s experiences.
