Widening the Circle is pleased to announce Free Legal Rights Workshops in Condobolin on Wednesday 20 May at 11am. These free legal rights workshops will be delivered by solicitor Steve Ward from Cater & Blumer in Griffith, who will discuss family law, divorce and de facto relationships, and domestic violence issues.
Family law and the procedures that must be followed have become quite intricate and change often. Receiving legal advice empowers parties to be aware of know their lawful entitlements, manage the process more effectively, and potentially reduce conflict.
In these workshops attendees will learn about laws regarding separation, divorce, parenting plans, residence orders, spousal maintenance, child support, property settlement, and de facto relationships. This workshop will also discuss domestic violence, one of the most widespread and under-reported crimes in Australia.
The workshops will look at the critical importance of public awareness in tackling this crime, and encourage attendees to be aware of their rights, the relevant laws, the various assistance packages available, and what to do to stop the violence and protect the family.
