Central West Farming Systems (CWFS) are proud to be hosting a Farm Machinery Field Day to be held at the Condobolin Agricultural Research & Advisory Station. This is a local event that supports both the local machinery dealers and the local farmers with the aim of a fun and informative hands on day for everyone.The day will commence at 9:30am with a jumping castle and entertainment for the kids, plus a free sausage sizzle lunch!
A good range of local suppliers and specialists from further afield will have equipment that will be used for both demonstration and display. There will be demonstrations of various tillage equipment (both factory built and conversions), undertaken by local farmers as part of the Lachlan Catchment Management (LCMA) incentive scheme.
The CWFS will do runs with fertiliser placed in the furrows so that attendees can see the placement and throw of different configurations. Representatives from the LCMA and Central West CMA will be on site to answer any questions about machinery conversions and available grants promoting good farming practices.
Farmers that have already converted machinery will also be available to discuss the practical side of actually doing the conversions.
There will also be demonstrations and displays of the major guidance systems, spraying unit innovations and points and equipment, plus farm management software just to name a few of the different aspects of farm equipment innovation that will be on display.
