Swing into Spring on Saturday 11th October 2008 with the bi-annual Lake Cargelligo Spring Ball. This year's event promises to deliver even more fun, with popular jazz band from Griffith "Kiss My Brass" performing on the night. The popular charity auction will also be held, with all funds raised to be donated back to the Lake Cargelligo Pre-School and towards the purchase of new curtains for Cudjallogong Court (aged self-care units) in Lake Cargelligo.
Tickets are $30 each (strictly 18 years and over) and are available for purchase at the Lake Cargelligo RTC (30 Foster St). Tickets include a complimentary drink upon arrival and an array of hot and cold finger food throughout the night. A licensed bar will be available throughout the evening.
Dress for the Swing into Spring Charity Ball is semi-formal (strictly no jeans), so take the opportunity to dress up and let your hair down for a night of entertainment and fundraising for a wonderful cause.
"Raw - Men of Lake Cargelligo", a 2009 calendar, is the major fundraising project for the Swing into Spring Charity Ball. The calendar features 29 local men of all ages and walks of life posing naked and semi-naked out and about in Lake Cargelligo!! The calendar was sucessfully launched on the 26th of July and is currently available for purchase for just $20 at the Lake Cargelligo RTC at 30 Foster St.
Local photographer and Lake Cargelligo Spring Ball Committee member, Christine Lynch, has generously donated her time to the project with outstanding results. This fundraising project has created quite the stir within the Lake Cargelligo community, as nothing like this has ever been undertaken before.
