Location:
Tullibigeal Football Ground
Time:
11:00
Following the huge success of last year's inaugural Tullibigeal Lawn Mower Muster, it will be held again on Saturday the 6th of September 2008 at the Tullibigeal Football Ground. Gates open at 11am and competitions start at 1pm.
Similar in format to a "ute muster", there are many activities taking place throughout the afternoon including timed races and judging classes.
Some of the races include flag races, sprint races, relay races and this year, a barrel race.
Judging competitions will see the most feral, best artwork, best blokes and chicks, best sound system and oldest lawn mowers up for prizes. Ride-on mowers, modified ride-on's and push mowers are all welcome and will be catered for in the various events.
Kid's games will be run during the afternoon, with the sack races and egg and spoon race sure to be worth a look. Other entertainment will include vintage car displays, as well as a collection of many different types of lawn mowers.
The Tullibigeal Football Club will be running a BBQ throughout the day and into the evening, with the nights entertainment to be provided by local band Scattered, who have recently played at the Condobolin B'n'S.
At this stage there are competitors coming from as far away as South Australia to compete who heard about the fun had last year. A big thank you is extended to the many sponsors and supporters of this years event including the NSW DPI, NSW Farmers Association, Frank Cooney & Son, Codemo Machinery, Regency Steel, McClinktock's and Frank Spice, and they have provided lots of prizes for competitors and spectators alike.
Anyone wishing to be involved or to have a display on the day should contact the organisers as soon as possible.
